For many single parents, that means empty cupboards, skipped meals, and impossible choices between food and other essentials.
At Unfettered Path, our mission is to stand with individuals overcoming violence and financial hardship. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit combating violence in all its forms, we’re stepping up with practical support: $25 grocery e-gift cards directed to single parents in Sacramento County.

Who can apply?
Single parents living in Sacramento County who are experiencing food insecurity due to CalFresh/SNAP funding gap.
Will I need any documents for the application?
Yes, we are requesting that you upload your ID and a copy of your "Verification of Benefits" - either screenshot or PDF. Here is a video from BenefitsCal providing instructions on getting your Verification of Benefits from their website: click here to see the video.
How fast will decisions be made?
​We process applications as quickly as possible and distribute cards on a rolling basis until funds run out.
Which stores can the e-gift cards be used at?
We will be offering e-gift cards from Safeway/Albertsons and Walmart.
Can I apply more than once?
One card per household per distribution cycle so we can reach as many families as possible.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Unfettered Path is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You’ll receive a receipt for your records.
